Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has appointed a new CEO
Samantha Stimpson is a new company’s CEO
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has appointed Samantha Stimpson as its new CEO, effective immediately. Stimpson has more than 25 years of experience in the travel and hospitality industry, having previously worked for companies such as TUI and Thomas Cook. She replaces Peter Deer, who has moved to the role of CFO.
This is not the first time that Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has undergone a leadership change. In 2017, the company restructured its leadership team, with Mike Rodwell as Managing Director and Justin Stanton as Commercial Director. However, the Olsen family has been a constant presence in the company’s leadership, with Fred. Olsen Jr. serving as Chairman until his resignation in July 2022.
Despite the leadership changes, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines remains a popular choice for many travelers and one of the best cruise companys. The company offers a range of itineraries, from short breaks to longer voyages, and prides itself on its hand-crafted ships and elegant design. As the new CEO, Stimpson will be responsible for leading the company through the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and ensuring that it remains competitive in the cruise industry.
She will also be tasked with maintaining the company’s reputation for quality and customer service.
